General features

WSCM is the main software used to manage the machine production cycle and its work plane.

The application interfaces directly with the environment of Albatros and so with its numerical control; it offers all the functions to interact with the machine. It directs the operations to create panels, the set-point procedure, the manual handling of one or more axes, the activation of physical devices, and the arrangement of the work plane. One of WSCM’s main features is to have a dashboard that allows us to access directly the machine devices (axes, digital I/Os, Flag Bits/Switches, synoptic panes, cycle messages, error cycle messages, and system error messages). The interface dashboard is totally customizable by the manufacturer thanks to a dedicated application (DbConfEdit).

The interface between user and machine consists of several elements:

  • command area, to manage the machine work cycle;

  • notice area, for messages, cycle errors, and system errors;

  • interactive dashboard, to visualize the axes and handle them manually;

  • interactive dashboard that contains all configured devices;

  • execution list, to recall the piece files that the machine will carry out during the work cycle;

  • command area, to manage the work cycle and the machine work plane;

  • work plane management, interactive as well.

Functional features

It is possible to recall both single programs and lists consisting of more programs each while creating the machine working list: we can do this using the function called “List of lists”.
Interfacing with external programs, like Barcode, it is possible to compile and launch a list totally automatically, no need of any additional command from the user. In this case it is actually possible to queue more programs, even when the list is in execution; this allows us to execute workings non-stop, so that the work cycle is not stopped. This feature is well suited for line machines that are typically managed by a plant supervisor and/or by managing systems that organize production batches. For each program, the user can define a range of data, editable from the list itself, useful to give the control all the information needed to carry out the working. The interactivity of the dashboard offers the user the possibility to interact with the configured machine devices.
A fundamental function of WSCM is the arrangement of the machine work plane. The graphical environment to manage the bench is totally interactive. Through it, it is possible to:

  • manage the working optimization rows;

  • insert and position the pods to lock the panels;

  • position the rails;

  • directly import the programs, dragging them on the desired plane area;

  • view the graphical preview of the piece and the workings that will be carried out on it.


  • Direct interface between user and machine;

  • possibility to add to the list TCN, DXF, and G-code (ISO) files;

  • total configurability of the machine devices, that the user can interact with;

  • total configurability of the columns in the working list, where you can recall the piece files;

  • fast commands to start, stop, or end the machine working cycle;

  • possibility to interface with external programs to automatically manage the working list;

  • total configurability of the work plane and the devices on it;

  • graphical selection of the work areas, for each program in the list;

  • interactive arranging of the work plane, thanks to the functions to move rails, pods (drag & drop) and to import panels to their work area.

WSCM is a tool that is well suited to be used as user interface for any kind of machine. The high level of customization that WSCM can reach guarantees its adaptability to the diverse requirements of manufacturers. The possibility to manage a machine both from a technological point of view and from the workbench allows WSCM to be used for work centres or for single machines.

General features

Barcode is an application that allows reading labels through an external device and queueing their programs to WSCM lists.

Functional features

Labels must comply to the characteristics of the device used to read the barcodes (Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, Codabar, QR code, …). The barcode device can be connected to the computer through a serial or USB port. It is possible to limit the significant characters of a label on configuration. If the label corresponds to a TpaEdi32 or TpaCAD program present in its program directory – as specified in the file Tpa.ini –, the program is added to the execution list.
It is possible both to select the type of execution list (WSC, Lister, or Cnc2000) and to configure the format of the string to be queued with its parameter fields (“Program”, “Comment”, “Repetitions”, “Mirror”, “Length”, “Height”, “Thickness”, “Load”, “Unload”, “Variables”). It is also possible to insert all labels and their programs in the table or in a text file, where to each row corresponds a label, with all data of the programs (“Program”, “Comment”, “Repetitions”, “Mirror”, “Length”, “Height”, “Thickness”, “Load”, “Unload”, “Variables”). The label acquired from the reading device is searched on the table, and the program’s data are sent to the execution list, respecting the order of the parameter fields as they are set.


Barcode optimizes and improves the working of the pieces in the machine by automating the assigning process of the work lists. Barcode blends in with the order management system, optimizing the production time and process and minimizing the margins of error.
